Sense Communications beat off stiff competition to win the coveted ‘Business of the Year’ award at the Sutton Business Excellence Awards, which was held at the Holiday Inn on Friday.
The inaugural event, which was organised by Successful Sutton and Sutton Chamber of Commerce recognises dynamic and innovative businesses in the borough.
Lisa Malyon, managing director of Sense Communications said: “To say we’re over the moon to be crowned as Sutton’s Business of the Year is an understatement. The award is fantastic recognition for all the effort we, as a team, have put in so far over the last three years, and motivates us for the next three.
“We have already had a lot of interest from prospective clients and partners, so we’re keen to see what else the accolade does for our brand.”
The PR and communications consultancy also impressed the judging panel enough to win the ‘Best New Business’ and ‘Best Business for Training and Development’ categories on the night.
Sutton has proven to be a successful launchpad for the company, adds Malyon: “Sutton is not only home to our fast-growing agency, it’s been the enabler for growth, from the beginning. Reduced business rates and lots of modern business premises to choose from means we can remain competitive in the industry. With trains every 15 minutes in and out of London, our clients love getting out of the hustle and bustle to attend meetings.”
