Two members from the chart-topping boyband 5ive will visit Sutton High Street in November to switch on the town’s Christmas lights.
Pop stars Scott Robinson and Richie Neville will take to the stage at 5:30pm to perform a medley of greatest hits, before flicking the switch at 6pm.
Robinson said: “Rich and I cannot wait to switch on the Sutton Christmas lights. It will be a good night for sure. See you there people!”
The annual event, which marks the countdown to Christmas, will get under way at noon on November 15th with festive street acts and performances scheduled throughout the afternoon.
Last year an estimated 6,000 people flocked to Sutton High Street to watch three members of the pop group S Club 7 light up the town centre.
This year promised to be even bigger, said Ross Fenney, Successful Sutton’s CEO.
“We are really excited that Scott and Richie from 5ive will be appearing in Sutton to light up the town and we are pulling out all the stops to ensure this year’s event is out biggest and best yet.
“We hope to see as many people as possible enjoying the festivities and making the most of Sutton’s great shops, restaurants and bars.”
