Pub Watch is a voluntary scheme which aims to achieve a safe, secure and responsibly led social drinking environment in all licences premises and reduce alcohol-related crime.

The scheme is supported by Successful Sutton and aims to:

  • Reduce alcohol-related crime and disorder in pubs by improving communication between licensed premises, pubs and the Police.
  • Achieve a safe, secure and responsible social drinking environment in all licensed premises.

How does it work?

Pub watch members are linked to each other and the police by radio. This helps to send information on incidents and potential troublemakers to everyone involved in the local Pub Watch initiative.

Meetings are scheduled regularly between Pub Watch stakeholders to discuss the schemes latest developments.

Pub Watch runs in tandem with the Sutton Business Crime Reduction Partnership (SBCRP) and the Behave or Be Banned (BOBB) scheme.

Individuals who are known to have committed an offence in a licensed premises could face being banned from other BOBB member venues.
