Successful Sutton business improvement district (BID) is an independent, non-profit organisation led and funded by businesses to make Sutton town centre a better place to live, work, shop and do business.
We were formed in 2012 following a successful ballot among eligible local businesses, which in turn have a say on how we deliver improvements to the area over a five-year period. A re-ballot is due in 2017 and requires a majority vote to maintain the BID for a second five-year term.
Each year we invest money in activities and services to promote Sutton town centre and improve the local trading environment.
Our priorities include:
- Increasing footfall and spend in the town centre
- Raising the town centre’s profile though marketing and events
- Ensuring the town centre remains safe and secure
- Delivering value for money for business levy payers
