Successful Sutton business improvement district (BID) is an independent, non-profit organisation led and funded by businesses to make Sutton town centre a better place to live, work, shop and do business.

We were formed in 2012 following a successful ballot among eligible local businesses, which in turn have a say on how we deliver improvements to the area over a five-year period. A re-ballot is due in 2017 and requires a majority vote to maintain the BID for a second five-year term.

BID priorities

Each year we invest money in activities and services to promote Sutton town centre and improve the local trading environment.

Our priorities include:

  • Increasing footfall and spend in the town centre
  • Raising the town centre’s profile though marketing and events
  • Ensuring the town centre remains safe and secure
  • Delivering value for money for business levy payers

We are committed to delivering these improvements under the following four theme groups: ‘Enhancing Sutton’, ‘Delivering Value’, ‘Protecting Sutton’ and ‘Brighter Sutton’.

Enjoy Sutton: our destination brand

Enjoy Sutton is Successful Sutton’s consumer-facing brand for Sutton Town Centre, used to promote new and existing visitors to the town centre through marketing and social media campaigns, exclusive competitions, high street events and local community initiatives.

The website has recently been updated and has current information including a new look “What’s On” calendar of events, a town centre Directory and information on travel, the Enjoy Sutton Loyalty Card and much more.
